"Kussha-rera" is located at the lakeside of Lake Kussharoko in
Akan national forest full of clean water and fresh air.
Designed and planed heartily with the owner's dream,
it opened in April 2004 as a resort inn,
and now offers only three guest rooms like a private cottage does.
The inn is named with mixing idea of "Kussha"
from Lake Kussharo and
"Rera"
from Aynu language meaning "breeze".
Please call this inn "kaze no
yakata or Inn of Breeze".
* "Aynu"
is the native people who once inhabited Hokkaido.

| The Inn’s appearance will remind you of a European country house. The inside is built with terra cotta tiles, cement plaster and diatomite walls, solid wood, and pollution-free paints made in Germany. The Inn is totally health-conscious, it is the owner’s aim. Because of this, no smoking is allowed. |

☆ Introducing the owner
The owner had been fascinated by nature of Hokkaido, especially by Doto (East Hokkaido) area and then decided to settle at the lakeside of Lake Kussharo from Takarazuka city, where locates near Osaka-city. Worked as a journalist for a national press in Japan. Retired in March,2004 and turned an inn owner. Concerning for global warming, he works out several energy-savings : using hot spa water, kept in dairy milk tank & heat exchanged, to floor heating & hot water supply or setting a small sized aero-generator on the roof, which he learnt through his journalist experience for natural energy resource.
